How to Submit to the IRB
When a student completes their IRB application and submits it for the first time, the application will be sent directly to the Chair/Mentor. The Chair/Mentor will only need to verify two things:
Verify that you are the Chair/Mentor
Verify that the title of the study aligns with what the student has been working on
Once verified, the Chair/Mentor may submit the application to the IRB. No further action is required beyond these two items.
Please note that the application will only be submitted to the Chair/Mentor for the student's first submission. Beyond this, communication will be between the student and IRB/IRB reviewers.
To submit a student's IRB application, please follow the steps below:
IRBManager Click on the "xForms" tab,
Click on the "IRB Application" that you would like to submit,
Verify that you are the Chair/Mentor,
Verify that the title of the study aligns said student's study,
Scroll to the bottom of the application,
If the information is correct select "Yes" for "Chair/Mentor Determination,"
CITI training, Click "Next," then "Submit"
